CHEERS TO 15 YEARS OF THE SOFO TAP
Anniversaries are better with family, and right down the block from us on Clark Street, one of our own is turning 15. The SoFo Tap, our sister bar in the 2Bears Tavern Group, is celebrating a decade and a half in Andersonville, and we could not be prouder to raise a glass to them.
If you know Meeting House Tavern, you know The SoFo Tap. We are cut from the same cloth: queer owned, community rooted, no cover, no attitude, just good people and great drinks. For 15 years, SoFo has been a home for Chicago's bear community and a cornerstone of what makes this neighborhood feel like ours. So when they throw a party, we show up. And this one is a full weekend.
The 15 Year Anniversary Weekend
From Thursday, July 16th through Sunday, July 19th, The SoFo Tap is celebrating with a packed weekend of parties, DJs, and specials. Every event is free, so head down the block and join the fun. Here is what is on.
15 Year Anniversary Kick-Off Party
The whole weekend kicks off with a bang. Enjoy $5 You Call It all day and night, with music by longtime resident DJ Moose on the decks.
GRRR Bear Night
SoFo's flagship bear party takes over at 9pm with music by DJ Bearbie, plus $6 Premium Well Cocktails and $8 WYNK Drinks.
The Anniversary
The big day. Doggy Days runs on the patio from 12 to 3pm, then Bear Trap takes over at 9pm with DJ Tracy McKenzie, $7 Signature Margaritas and $8 WYNK Drinks all night.
Sunday Funday + Bearaoke
Close out the weekend right. Sunday Funday runs 12 to 3pm with free hot dogs while they last, then Bearaoke takes the stage with host Rhett Butlah. $6 Premium Well Cocktails, $7 Signature Margaritas, and $8 WYNK Drinks all day.
Specials All Weekend Long
No matter which day you make it down, SoFo is pouring the good stuff every single day of the celebration: $5 Jager, Fireball, and Malort shots, and $4 Old Style, PBR, and Hamms.
